Why I became a counsellor

Supporting people on their journey toward greater clarity, connection, and fulfilment.

Hey I’m Adele, a qualified counsellor specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I’ve always had a deep interest in supporting people on their journey through life and believe that everyone has the answers within themselves but with support and connection  from others real change is possible.

How my own counselling journey shaped my path

I became a counsellor because I wanted to walk alongside people as they navigate challenges and hardships, supporting them toward a fulfilling and rewarding life. My own experience with counselling was profoundly transformative and has shaped the path I follow today. It’s what drives me to help others experience the same sense of insight, healing, and growth.

I know that reaching out can feel daunting, especially if you’ve had less-than-positive experiences before. From my own experience, and from the clients I work with, I’ve learned that therapy with the right counsellor who is a good fit for you can be genuinely empowering and transformative.

My life outside counselling

When I’m not counselling, I’m a mum to three teenage boys — my most rewarding role yet (though not without its challenges).

I enjoy going to the gym, being outdoors playing tennis or hiking, on the sideline supporting my kids various sports, travelling whenever I can, and most of all, making the most of this one life I’ve been given.
